Public supports Ramsey marina plans

The public is in favour of a marina in Ramsey.

Over 90% of those who submitted responses at a consultation on plans for a marina in Ramsey wanted either option to go ahead.

Just short of 70% of those in favour of a marina would prefer the plans for water to be impounded upstream of the swingbridge.

The rest want to see water impounded only in the old harbour.

The Department of Infrastructure say the preferences are significant, and will be considering the next stage of the marina plans in due course.
