Fine for man who breached ASBO

A Douglas man has been fined £200 for breaching his ASBO.

34 year old Philip Andrew Dancer is banned from purchasing or consuming alcohol.

Dancer tried to buy a bottle of alcohol from Co-op on Prospect Terrace, but a member of staff recognised him and asked him to leave the store.

He left without confrontation.

His advocate said he is receiving counselling for his alcohol problem and that he would make every effort not to breach the order again.

Dancer was also ordered to pay £50 in costs.
