Liberal Vannin wants Chief Minister changes

The Liberal Vannin Party wants to change the way the Chief Minister is elected.

Leader of the Party, Onchan MHK Peter Karran, intends to bring a motion to Tynwald.

He'd like to see House of Keys candidates declare an interest in the role before standing for election.

A Bill from South Douglas MHK Bill Malarkey allowing the public to chose the Chief Minister is currently going through the House.

Liberal Vannin says the current system denies the Manx public democracy.
