The prosecution has opened its case in the trial of a man accused of rape.
Thirty-four year old Gary John Beattie is alleged to have raped a sixteen year old girl in Ramsey in March this year.
It is accepted that Beattie did have sexual intercourse with the girl.
The prosecution says she had been drinking and had taken the then legal substance mephedrone, meaning she wasn't able to consent to sex.
This afternoon the court has been watching footage from her police interview the day after the alleged rape.
In it she tells police that she did not consent to sexual intercourse
The trial is expected to continue into early next week.
