ACU joins petition for TT-style racing in UK

Road racing stars like John McGuinness could take part in TT-style events in the UK if the petition is successful

The Auto-Cycle Union has joined a campaign to start closed road racing in the UK.

The motorcycle sport governing body wants to see TT style racing in Britain.

If approved, the new events would rival the TT and Manx Grand Prix.

Currently, closed road racing doesn't happen often in the United Kingdom as an act of Parliament must be passed in order for roads to be temporarily closed.
