MHK demands Ministers clarify their pay

Graham Cregeen MHK has accused MKinisters who have announced they will be taking a 10% pay cut of grandstanding.

Mr Cregeen, has told Energy FM News that certain Ministers who have publicly announced the paycut can afford the drop as they have large earnings from outside of Government.

He's called for all MHKs to declare their income before making bold statements [play clip]

Mr Cregeen believes that Ministers who have outside incomes is like returning to the bad old days of politics where only wealthy men could afford to become MHKs [play clip]

This follows comments from MHK David Cretney yesterday that people should not be able to buy themselves into Government. [play clip]
