Man hospitalised following assault

A Douglas man needed an overnight stay in hospital following an assault on Granville Street.

The 32 year old sustained serious head and facial injuries, which were treated at Noble's following the incident in the early hours of Saturday last week.

A 35 year old Douglas man has since been charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

It's believed there was an incident in Jaks moments before the assault which may have been connected.

Police are still looking for witnesses to the assault.
