Man fined for street brawl

A Douglas man has been fined £300 for fighting in Ramsey.

20 year old Matthew John Francis Richards from Anagh Coar admitted a charge of affray.

Richards had been at a pub in Ramsey in June this year.

He got into a fight in Parliament Square with another male from the pub who was being argumentative and grabbed a female.

Police found Richards fighting on the ground on top of the other male.

His advocate said it was a one off and that Richards has apologised for his actions.
