The Community Culture and Leisure Minister has laid out how his party uses its funds.
David Cretney, from the Manx Labour Party, says the majority of election candidates fund their own campaigns, and that donations to the party are used for hiring meeting rooms and secretarial expenses.
Mr Cretney admits he has received two donations towards his election expenses in the seven elections he has contested, both of £200.
The figure is revealed in his letter, on behalf of the party, to the independent review of election funding.
The review was ordered following the House of Keys by-election earlier this year.
