Police charge man over stolen bicycle

The recovered bike is yet to be claimed by the owner

Police have charged a man following the theft of a bicycle at the weekend.

The 27 year old Douglas man will appear before magistrates at the start of September charged with taking the bike without the owners consent and riding the cycle whilst impaired through drink or drugs.

The bicycle hasn't been reported stolen, and officers are appealing for the owner to come forward.

The Raleigh red bike was taken from the Broadway area in the early hours of yesterday morning.
