Mini hit telegraph pole and overturned

A driver has escaped uninjured after their car hit a telegraph pole and overturned in Crosby.

The black Mini was the only vehicle involved in the crash on Peel Road at around 4.30 yesterday afternoon.

The road was closed for around 2.5 hours whilst police, an ambulance crew, the vehicle examiner and Manx Telecom staff attended the scene.

The driver was checked over by paramedics but didn't require further medical attention.

Police in Peel are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision, or saw a black Mini in the area around the time of the crash.
