Woman jailed for stabbing ex

A woman has been jailed for stabbing her ex.

38 year old Shelley Eileen Wardally admitted unlawfully wounding her ex partner earlier this year at an address in Mona Drive.

She found the man drunk on her bed. There was an arguement resulting in racial abuse towards Wardally.

She stabbed the man in the leg and back.

He needed stictches to both wounds, and was detained in Noble's overnight.

Her advocate said Wardally, who has previous convictions for anti-social behaviour and assault, is making progress in custody.

The Deputy High Bailiff sentenced her to twelve months in prison, and extended her licence period to 3 years.
