Practice for Manx Grand Prix will start an hour earlier on the first Saturday, due to an unprecidented level of first time riders.
The MGP has attracted over 50 newcomers this year, up on last year's figure of 44.
Auto Cycle Union regulations state all newcomers must have a lap at race pace on the course before they can practice with the more experienced riders.
Therefore the course will close at 5.00pm on Saturday 21st August, rather than 6.00pm.
