Car tax review launched

Changes could be made to the way car tax is calculated.

The Department of Infrastructure is to review how vehicle duty is determined.

Cars brought to the Island after April this year will have their vehicle duty calculated by CO2 emissions rather than engine size.

The Department is looking at expanding this to older cars.

The views of the public are being sought on this matter.

The consultation document can be found on the Government's website, and responses can be sent to the Sea Terminal.
