The Department of Health is reminding holiday makers to get insurance before they travel.
The Department says Manx residents get caught out every year when travelling off Island.
The cost of being transported back to the Isle of Man when taken ill in another country isn't covered by the Manx Government or any other nation's Government, including the UK.
Repatriation isn't covered by the Reciprocal Health Agreement.
The Department of Health warns that travelling without insurance could be very expensive.
