Oxygen given to kitchen fire residents

Fire crews were called to a flat in Farmhill following reports of a blaze there.

The occupants had escaped from the flat, but required oxygen therapy.

The incident happened on Saturday morning.

The fire was already out when the fire service arrived, and had been confined to the kitchen.

Officers say to always call the fire service when a fire is discovered, and not to assume they have already been called.
