The footbridge in Peel harbour is operating as normal again following recent repairs.
The Department of Infrastructure says the bridge can now be swung for mariners on request, as was the procedure before the works.
Earlier this month it was found that the bearings in the mechanism that allows the bridge to open were damaged, despite being designed to last for the entire life of the structure.
The footbridge was removed for several days for repairs.
Mariners can contact Peel Harbour on VHF channel twelve to arrange for the bridge to be swung.
Further investigations into the failure of the parts are ongoing.
