Douglas lifeboat was launched twice yesterday evening.
A vessel suffering fuel starvation at the north end of Douglas bay had to be towed into the harbour.
Whilst rescuing that vessel and the two people on board, reports of a second boat in trouble were received.
The lifeboat and coastguard found the vessel at Groudle drifting close to rocks.
It has suffered an engine failure.
It's the third time in three days that the lifeboat has been called out, and the eighth rescue in six days for the coastguard.
