Assault and robbery accused remanded in custody

A Douglas man was remanded in custody following a court appearance.

34 year old Michael David Berguist is charged with robbery and common assault on a female.

His advocate submitted a bail application but it was refused by Deputy High Bailiff Alistair Montgomerie.

He'll appear in court again next Tuesday.
