Van driver had to be cut from vehicle

Two drivers were taken to hospital following a crash on the TT course.

A Volkswagen Caddy Van and Volvo 340 collided at Hanley's Corner on the A3 yesterday evening.

The driver of the Volvo was able to be removed from the vehicle and taken to Noble's for observation.

However, the Caddy Van driver had to be cut from the vehicle by the fire service due to the amount of damage to the Volkswagen and the nature of their injuries.

An ambulance then took the van driver to hospital.

The road was closed for over three hours because of the crash.
