12 people were arrested for drink driving offences during the World Cup.
The Roads Policing Unit ran a month long summer drink drive campaign with the Department of Infrastructure to coincide with the tournament.
Of the 12, 9 have been charged, 1 bailed and there'll be no further action for 2.
Officers from the unit say drivers could still be impaired by alcohol, even if they are under the limit.
Arrests were down compared to the Christmas drink-drive campaign, but the number charged was up.
