Chief Minister to explain Manx Gas spend

The Chief Minister will be asked to explain why Government money is being used to fund Manx Gas works.

Malew and Santon MHK Graham Cregeen will ask Tony Brown who initiated the proposals, and who negotiated the agreement.

Earlier this year, Energy FM reported that the Coucil of Ministers had agreed in prinicpal to fund the extension of Manx Gas's mains network to the north, south and west of the Island.

The works are necessary because of the ageing infrastructure of the LPG network, which has led to health and safety concerns.

Mr Cregeen will ask the question in this week's sitting of the House of Keys
