Island's future healthcare to be debated

The future of the Island's health service is to be discussed at a meeting by the Positive Action Group this evening.

The winners of this year's Manx Executive Challenge, the Green Team, recently released a 30 page report on their proposals to get the most out of the facilities at Noble's Hospital in the future.

The meeting comes less than a week after the Department of Health released the results of a health and lifestyle report, suggesting many Manx residents are overweight and drink too much.

The Department says this research will help it plan for the future medical needs of the Island.

The PAG meeting takes place in the Manx Legion Club at 7.30 this evening.
