Cemetery pond vandalised

Vandals have damaged the pond in the Remembrance Garden of Douglas Borough Cemetery and Crematorium on Glencrutchery Road.

Grids covering the pond have been removed, allowing access to the pond.

Plugs were then removed and the water drained away, destroying a large amount of frog spawn.

The damage to the grids will cost about £200 to repair.

The incident occured between 4.00pm yesterday and 8.00 this morning.
