Day Two: Artistic Gymnastics - Burns happy with score

*UPDATE* Nicole Burns has qualified for the individual all-round final tomorrow.

 

Gymnast Nicole Burns registered a decent score in Subdivision 2 with a total score of 45.125 at the Commonwealth Games.

The 20-year-old from Douglas achieved the overall score after competing on the uneven bars, balance beam, floor excercise and vault at the Coomera Indoor Sports Centre.

Competition is still on going - Nicole will find out this afternoon if she's made it to the final.

Nicole's family have flown over to support her: "My mum and her partner have flown over. And also my brother and his girlfriend, they are actually here travelling Australia, so they came up to come see me. I haven't seen them since August."

Energy FM's Shaun Moore caught up with Nicole afterwards.
