Jake Kelly has been chosen as the IOM team's flag bearer for the Opening Ceremony at the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games.
He is competing in his second Commonwealth Games in the cycling road race, having also been a part of the road race team at the Glasgow 2014 games.
Jake's grandfather was a member of the 1st ever Isle of Man Commonwealth Games team, competing in the road race at the 1958 Games in Cardiff. He also competed at the 1962 Commonwealth Games in Perth.
Jake currently rides for One Pro Cycling.
