Vikings face reigning champs in English Vase semis

Vikings Ladies have reached the semi finals of English Hockey Association Vase.

The Manx team beat Oldham Ladies 4 v 1 in the quarter finals, Kim Carney scoring the first after 14 minutes.

Oldham got a goal back to make the score level at half time.

Carney went on to score two more goals in the second half, and the fourth was slotted in by Katherine Gatherer.

Vikings had several other strong goal scoring chances, including a penalty stroke which was marginally wide.

The girls next play reigning champions East Grinstead in the semis on March 28th.
