Wed, 23 Dec 2009

Great news for Manx Cricket has been announced from Lords.

The first ever ICC Tournament to be held on the Isle of Man goes ahead in July 2010.

Ten countries will take part in the ECC Under 17 Division Two Championships with play on five Island pitches.

Competing will be Spain, Italy, Belgium, Austria, Gibraltar, France, Germany, Greece, Switzerland and the Isle of Man.

The two grass wickets at King Williams College will be in action together with the tracks at Tromode, Mullen-e-Cloie and Crosby.

Matches will start on Saturday 24 July and end on the following Thursday. This is a big coup for Island Cricket and a fine example of the standing the country now enjoys.
