The Health Minister will be asked to provide an update on plans to change prescription charges on the Isle of Man.

Kate Beecroft will face questions about a public consultation on the proposals and the timetable for the changes going before Tynwald at next week's sitting of the House of Keys.

Douglas North MHK David Ashford is seeking the update after the Department of Health and Social Care revealed plans to increase the charge for each item and make fewer people eligible for free medication.

Patients with chronic conditions and pensioners aged under 75 would be among the groups to have to pay for drugs under the proposals.

The plans went out to public consultation over the summer.
