The Health Minister says it's regrettable that the decision to move all endoscopy services to Noble's Hospital wasn't discussed further with the Trustees and League of Friends of Ramsey and District Cottage Hospital.

Kate Beecroft confirmed in this morning's sitting of the House of Keys that she spoke to both groups last month about the decision to end appointments in the north of the Island.

However, Mrs Beecroft added that the Trustees and League of Friends are clearly both concerned by the lack of discussion with the Department of Health and Social Care.

The Minister said her Department focuses on informing patients and staff when making such changes, and that the lack of communication isn't due to a lack of respect or gratitude to the charities.
