It was a day for the junior shooters at Blue Point on Sunday for the last of Ayre Clay Target Club’s Summer English Sporting League, kindly sponsored by Harding Lewis Limited.

Ted Davis won C Class on a score of 32/50 with Jordan Dougherty taking second on 26 and Leo Fox taking the third prize, scoring 23.

Steve Brew was high gun on 39/50; Jack Clague and Eddie Brew were joint second on 38.

Results:

A Class: 1, Steve Brew 39/50; 2, Jack Clague 38; 3, Wayne Corlett 33.

B Class: 1, Eddie Brew 38; 2, Neil Parsons 37; 3, George Davies 35.

C Class: 1, Ted Davies 32; 2, Jordan Dougherty 26; 3, Leo Fox 23.

This week’s competitions at Blue Point are the final rounds of the 50 and 100 target English Skeet leagues, kindly sponsored by Penketh-Millar Architectural Design. Entries close at 10.15am.
