Cost of sending MLC to Special Olympic World Games revealed

Sending the Education and Children Minister to a sporting event in Los Angeles is costing taxpayers almost £3,500.

MLC Tim Crookall is at the Special Olympics World Games, supporting the Special Olympics squad, for 10 days.

More than 6,500 athletes from 165 nations are competing - the games started on Saturday and run until August 2nd.

As part of his attendance the Minister will be participating in the DOHA Goals Forum which is a series of meetings about social initiatives and sport.
