More training for police as online crime increases

Police officers on the Island could be given more training to tackle online crime.

The Isle of Man Constabulary is currently looking at upgrading its training with specialist providers including the College of Policing.

It says this is part of a comprehensive digital strategy which will address the use of technology and the policing of the online world.

All new recruits are given general training with specialist officers receiving nationally accredited cybercrime tuition.
