Woman who 'spat at door staff' ordered to keep the peace

Fri, 19 Dec 2014

A woman has been given a binding over order after reportedly spitting at door staff outside a Douglas nightclub.

39-year-old Natalie Yates yesterday pleaded guilty to one charge of being drunk and disorderly at Douglas Courthouse.

Police were called to Tahiko on Central Promenade at around 3am on December 7th to reports the Douglas woman was being abusive to staff.

The court heard she was "causing issue" after they had banned her from entering the week before.

Her advocate said she accepted her behaviour had fallen below that of the normal standard and she deeply regretted what had happened.

The binding over order, which requires Yates to be of good behaviour to all people on the Island, will be in place for a year.
