Teenager gets three years for causing death by dangerous driving

A  Peel teenager has been sent to prison for three years for causing the death of a 14-year-old girl.

18-year-old Craig Bridgewater was sentenced today at Douglas Courthouse after previously pleading guilty to causing death by dangerous driving.

Lucia Porter was killed on March 8th, after the car she was travelling in along with seven other people, crashed on the Switchback Road.

In sentencing Deemster Montgomerie said nobody could turn back the clock and Bridgewater was going to have to live with the fact he had caused Lucia's death.

Speaking outside court her mother Julie Porter says the family has been left with a life sentence:
