Government eyes UK investment

The Isle of Man Government is looking for inward investment opportunities in the UK.

A business development manager has been hired join the Department of Economic Development's financial services team.

It's to generate additional opportunities and links with the UK - with particular focus on the north of England, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Memorandums of Understanding have recently been signed between the DED and Northern Ireland's Department of Enterprise and with Liverpool Vision.

Paul Maddocks has worked within the industry for 14 years - so it's hoped he'll develop and improve the Manx proposition.
